What are the academic requirements for admission?
Prospective students must have a strong academic record, demonstrating proficiency in core subjects. We assess each applicant's transcripts to ensure they meet our standards for academic excellence.
Are there specific athletic criteria for enrollment?
No — we do not require students to play a specific sport or have a competitive athletic background. What we do look for is passion, commitment, and a willingness to be actively engaged. If your student is not involved in sports, that is completely okay — we simply ask that they be prepared to participate in an enrichment activity or extracurricular that supports their academic and personal growth. At GTE Academy, we believe every student should be involved in something beyond the classroom that challenges and develops them.
How does the application process work?
The application process involves submitting an online application form, academic transcripts, and a personal statement. Selected candidates will be invited for an interview and assessment to determine their fit for our program.
What support does GTE Academy offer to new students?
We provide comprehensive support to new students, including orientation sessions, academic advising, and mentorship programs to help them transition smoothly into our community and make the most of their time at GTE Academy.
Does GTE Academy support students with IEPs or 504 plans?
Yes — GTE Academy welcomes and supports students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans. Our personalized, self-paced ACE curriculum model is naturally designed to meet students where they are academically, making it an ideal environment for learners who require additional accommodations, modifications, or support. We work closely with families to ensure every student has what they need to thrive. During the enrollment process we will discuss your student's specific needs so we can best serve them from day one.
Enrollment Timeline
Understanding the key dates in our enrollment process is crucial for prospective students. Below, we outline the important milestones to help you plan your journey to joining GTE Academy. Applications are accepted February through September — or until seats are filled.
Step 1
Submit Your applicaton
Complete and submit your online application through our website. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis from February through September, or until all seats are filled. Don't wait — space is intentionally limited.
Step 2
Application Review (3–5 Business Days)
Our team reviews every application carefully. Within 3–5 business days you will receive either an acceptance letter or a follow-up communication with next steps.
Step 3
Secure Your Spot
Upon acceptance, families submit a $50 application fee to officially hold their child's seat. This ensures your spot is reserved while we move into the next phase.

In-Person Family Interview
Accepted families will be contacted to schedule an in-person interview with the student and parent or guardian. This is a conversation — we want to get to know your family, answer your questions, and make sure GTE Academy is the right fit for everyone.
Step 5
Acceptance Notifications
Once we confirm it's a great fit, your student will complete a diagnostic assessment. This allows us to understand exactly where they are academically so we can prescribe their personalized, individualized curriculum from day one.
